It is a privilege and honor to serve the constituents of the First Equalization District.  As a Board Member, I am working hard to ensure California’s tax laws are interpreted and applied correctly, fairly, and consistently, and to serve as a responsible steward of nearly $54 billion in annual revenues the Board administers for funding vital programs such as public education, health care, natural resources and environmental protection, and public safety. 

In order to serve the needs of those who do business in California, my office provides education and outreach services through conferences, seminars, and workshops to help taxpayers better understand their state tax requirements.
